Type one weight and see it in twelve units at once, with the ordinary ounce and the troy ounce kept apart and a stone and pounds line for body weight.

This weight converter takes one value and shows it in twelve units at the same time: milligrams, grams, kilograms, metric tonnes, ounces, troy ounces, pounds, stone, US tons, UK long tons, carats and tola. Type a weight once, pick its unit, and the whole row of units fills in beside it.
One weight in, twelve answers out.
Weight language changes with the job. A pharmacist works in milligrams, a cook in grams and ounces, a gym in kilograms and pounds, a jeweller in carats, troy ounces and tola, and a freight office in tonnes and tons.
The tola earns its place for gold and silver across South Asia, where it is still the everyday unit in the bazaar. One tola is 11.6638 grams. The carat, at exactly 0.2 grams, is the gemstone standard everywhere.
At the small end, milligrams carry medicine and lab work, where a dose can hinge on a single digit. At the large end, tonnes and tons carry lorries, shipping containers and harvests. One page that spans that whole range saves the awkward hop between a pharmacy scale of units and a freight scale of units when a single job, like costing a supplement shipment, crosses both.
Stone stays in the list because body weight in Britain is still quoted that way. One stone is 14 pounds, and the extra line on this page shows the pounds left over after the whole stones, so 11 stone 4 reads off the screen without extra maths.
The traps in weight conversion are units that share a name, and the ounce on a gold quote is not the ounce on a kitchen scale. The ordinary ounce, the avoirdupois ounce used for food and parcels, is 28.3495 grams. The troy ounce, used for gold, silver and other precious metals, is 31.1035 grams. This page labels them apart on purpose, because pricing gold with the wrong ounce underpays or overpays by about a tenth.
Tons split three ways as well. A metric tonne is 1,000 kilograms, a US short ton is 907.185 kilograms, and a UK long ton is 1,016.05 kilograms. Each one is listed under its full name here, never as a bare “ton” that leaves you guessing.
The anchor factor is exact: one pound is 0.45359237 kilograms by international agreement. Every other imperial figure on the page builds on that fixed point, so converting there and back returns your starting weight.
The conversion runs in your browser. Your weights are never uploaded or stored, there is no sign-up, and there is no cap on conversions.
An ordinary ounce is 28.3495 grams and covers food, parcels and most everyday weighing. A troy ounce is 31.1035 grams and is the unit for gold, silver and other precious metals. This converter lists both, labelled.
Fourteen. The stone and pounds line on this page splits a weight into whole stones plus the pounds left over, the way body weight is quoted in Britain.
Check the document. Metric tonnes (1,000 kg) rule most international shipping, US short tons (907.185 kg) appear in American domestic freight, and UK long tons (1,016.05 kg) survive in older British records.
One tola is 11.6638 grams. It remains a working unit for gold and silver in South Asia, so it sits in the list beside grams for quick cross-checks.
A carat is exactly 0.2 grams by definition. Gemstone weights in carats convert to grams with no rounding drift.
