Edit PDF

Edit a PDF the way a browser honestly can: stamp new text onto any page, a name, a date, a reference number, a short note, in your choice of size, color and position. Words already baked into the PDF need a full editor. New words on top take seconds here, on your device.

Edit a PDF by Adding the Text It Is Missing

Most “edit this PDF” moments are really “add one thing to this PDF”: a name on a certificate, a date on a form, a reference number in a corner. This tool stamps text onto the page you choose, at the size, color and position you set, and saves a finished copy. It works in the browser, on your device. For numbers on every page, Add Page Numbers does the whole file at once, and for a signature, Sign PDF has the pad and the placement.

How to Edit PDF Pages Online

    1. Drop your PDF into the box above, or click to choose it.
    2. Type the text to add: a name, a date, a note, one line.
    3. Set the page number it belongs on, and pick the position: a corner, the top center, or the middle of the page.
    4. Choose the size and color. Black at 16 pt is the safe default most documents want.
    5. Click Add Text and Save, then open the result and check the placement against the page.

The Honest Limit of Editing a PDF in a Browser

This tool writes new text on top of a page. It cannot reach into the page and rewrite words that are already part of the PDF. That boundary is worth understanding, because it decides which jobs belong here. Adding is genuinely editing for certificates, labels, stamps, and form answers written beside (not inside) fields. Rewriting is different work: changing a price inside a paragraph, fixing a typo in a scanned page (where the “text” is a photograph with no letters to edit at all), or reflowing a page around new words. Those need a full PDF editor working on the original file, or better, the source document in Word or Docs, edited and exported again. A note on blank space: the stamp lands where you point it, over whatever is there, so pick a clear area of the page. The tool cannot see the layout for you, and a name stamped through a paragraph helps nobody.

    Everyday Jobs This Edit Covers

A name typed onto a certificate template before sending it to the attendee. The date and reference number stamped on a submitted form’s first page. “PAID” across an invoice copy, in green, once the money lands. A corrected phone number added beside the printed one on a flyer, when reprinting the batch is not worth it. Marks, labels, and notes on reports in review. Short text, placed once, saved for good.

Placement Habits That Make Stamped Text Look Native

Match the document, not your taste. If the page’s own text is small and black, a 16 pt black stamp blends. A 28 pt red one shouts, which is right for PAID and wrong for a certificate name. Use the margins the author left: documents are designed with quiet zones at the corners and the bottom strip, and a stamp sitting in a designed margin reads as part of the document, while one floating mid-paragraph reads as a sticker. Keep stamps to one idea per pass and re-open the result before sending, zoomed to the page you touched. The two seconds that takes is the difference between “edited” and “edited well”, and recipients can tell, even when they cannot say why one version looks professional and the other looks patched.

    FAQs

Is it free to edit PDFs here?

Yes. Adding text is free, with no limits sold back to you later and no watermark. ToolPeko earns from ads on the site, not from your documents.

Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?

No. The edit happens inside your browser, on your own device. Your file never travels to us, so there is no copy of it anywhere else.

Can I change words that are already in the PDF?

No. The text printed into a PDF, and doubly so the text inside a scanned page, cannot be rewritten by this tool. You can stamp a correction beside the original, or edit the source document and export a fresh PDF for a clean result.

Can I add text to several pages at once?

This tool stamps one piece of text on one page per pass, which keeps placement exact. Run it again on the saved copy for another page. For the same stamp on every page, that is what a watermark does. See Add Watermark to PDF.

Can I add an image or a logo to a PDF here?

Not in this tool. It stamps text, covering names, dates, notes and labels. Your signature, which is a drawn image, has its own tool: Sign PDF.

Will the added text print with the PDF?

Yes. The stamp becomes part of the page, so it prints, forwards and displays exactly as you placed it, in every reader.
