Crop PDF

Crop PDF pages by trimming the same amount from the top, bottom, left and right of every page, measured in millimetres. It is the quick fix for wide empty margins, scanner borders, and pages that waste half the screen. The crop is written into the file on your device, with nothing uploaded.

Crop PDF Margins So the Content Fills the Page

Some PDFs are mostly border: a document scanned on a bigger sheet, slides exported with a wide frame, a form designed for a printer nobody owns. Cropping trims the page window down, so the content you care about fills more of the screen and prints larger. Set the trim per side in millimetres, and the same crop lands on every page. To cut pages out of the file entirely, that is Remove Pages. Cropping changes each page’s frame, not the page count.

How to Crop PDF Pages Online

    1. Drop your PDF into the box above, or click to choose it.
    2. Type how much to trim from each side, in millimetres. Leave a side at 0 to keep it.
    3. Click Crop PDF.
    4. Open the result and check a few pages, especially any page that differs from the rest.
    5. Download the cropped copy. The original stays as it was.

What Cropping a PDF Really Does

Cropping shrinks the visible page window. The content outside the new frame is hidden, not destroyed. That is how PDF cropping works everywhere, and it is worth knowing both ways it matters. In your favour: a crop made here can be undone by a full editor later, because the trimmed content still exists underneath. Against you: cropping is not a privacy tool. If the margin holds a note, a stamp, or part of a signature you must truly erase, hiding it behind a crop is not enough, since the right software can widen the frame again. For genuine removal, delete the page or redact with a dedicated tool. One more practical note: this tool applies one crop to every page, which suits uniform documents like scans and slides. Mixed files, where page 3 is a different size, deserve a check of the result before you send it.

Everyday Jobs That End With a Crop

Slides exported with fat borders, trimmed so the text reads on a phone. A scanned book where the desk edge and shadows frame every page. Print-ready files where the shop asks for the artwork window without the proof marks around it. Old reports whose margins hold a fax header nobody needs. A form that must fit a smaller paper size for one office’s printer. All the same move: take the frame in, keep the middle.

Measure the PDF Crop on the Tightest Page First

Every document has one page whose content runs closest to the edge, and that page sets your safe trim. Find it before you type numbers: the page with the widest table, the full-bleed chart, the stamp near the corner. Measure your crop against that page’s margins, not the roomy title page, or the neat crop that flatters page 1 will bite a column off page 9. Start smaller than you think you need. A 10 mm trim all round transforms most scan borders, and a second pass can always take more off the copy, while no pass can give back what an over-crop hid from a page whose neighbour was narrower. If pages alternate sizes, portrait text with wide charts between, crop for the text pages and check what the charts lose. Sometimes the honest answer is two crops on two splits of the file, joined again with Merge PDF.

    FAQs

Is it free to crop PDFs here?

Yes. Cropping is free, with no limits sold back to you later and no watermark. ToolPeko earns from ads on the site, not from your documents.

Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?

No. The crop is written inside your browser, on your own device. Your file never travels to us, so there is no copy of it anywhere else.

Can I crop each page differently?

Not here. This tool applies one even crop to every page, which is what scanned and exported documents almost always need. For a different crop per page, a full desktop editor is the right tool.

Does cropping delete the trimmed content?

No. It hides the trimmed area by shrinking the page window. Viewers show the cropped view, and most print it that way, but the hidden content still exists in the file. Never rely on a crop to hide something sensitive.

    How much can I trim?

As much as you like, until about 14 mm of page would remain. The tool stops you before a page is cropped into nothing. If a trim is refused, reduce the amounts.

Will cropping make the file smaller?

Barely. The content still lives in the file, so the size hardly moves. If a smaller file is the goal, finish with Compress PDF.
